Just been reading the posts on the the new firmware for the garmin i3 v2.90 I updated to this version about a week and half back and found afterwards the camera data base did not show the cams on the screen if you were over the speed limit but did give an audiable warning....but after an hour or so it showed the cams... Allso been getting lockups it took the map 20 seconds to 30 seconds to catch up to were you were on the road... So i went back to the older version 2.70 i was useing before and all is sweet as before and works fine.... Not sure why i got these problems but next time i get a e-mail from garmin about updates i will wait before updating and read the forums before getting anymore
annoying bugs...
Why fix it if its not broke

Welcome to the Forum!
As you say. a lot of people have also experienced problem with version 2.9 so hopefully you will have passed your findings onto Garmin, in the hope that they will do better next time!
Thanks. |

I/m back to 2.7 also and had an email from Garmin admitting there is a problem. Seems surprising they haven't pulled the 2.9 update until its fixed. |

I have similar probs with my i3. Have been looking for the earlier version of the i3 unit software to reload on the unit and can not find it on the Garmin site. Please can you offer me any advice as to how to go back to the original software.
Thanks. |

PS
V2.7 now working - thanks.
Don't suppose you know how to delete the POI's loaded ?.
Did use the POI's from a competitor to Pocketgpsworld which are inaccurate and want to replace them with Pocketgpsworld ones ?.
Many thanks again. |
