|
|
Sorry if I've missed something here but I downloaded MaFt's POI files again and now when I got to POI I get a general list of all the POI shops etc that are near to my I3.
Before when I downloaded Mafts POI shops, cinemas etc when I went to POI I had a list of say MacDonalds, Burger King and Gateway and then could select route to any of the various destinations.
Now when I got to POI I just get every POI that is near by, not a lot of good when I want to go to Homebase in a town 60 miles away or find out if there is a Burger King at a far off destination.
Have I done something wrong now or has something changed? I never had a problem before so I'm wondering what is going on.
Sorry if I've missed a thread on this.!!!!! |

Have you downloaded the beta version of the firmware (2.82)?
If you have then that is why you have no sub categories in the custom POI's.

Thanks guys.
Yeah I am on 2.82 or whatever. I guessed it was something I'd done but it has been very annoying. How do i get back to 2.7 PLEASE ? |

Download the latest copy of easygps (http://www.easygps.com), back up all of your favourites from your i3.
Before you save them in easygps to a gpx file, delete the built-in Garmin sites from easygps.
Then apply the 2.70 firmware.
After that, use easygps to restore your favourites to your i3, and reload the POIs you want on your i3. |

Just to add to Lester's comments, you will need to delete 2.82 from you PC before you reload 2.7 or it will keep trying to put 2.82 back on to your i3 since it is newer.

Thanks guys Had to go to Bristol and W_S_M today, Saved POI date after downloading the new "easy" prog. Dumped 2.82 and reloaded 2.t and the saved POI data.
Brilliant, all done in under 10 mins. Many thanks.
ps. Fish n Chips found in W-S-M thanks to Mafts POI data, "Chippy Giulios" was very good and the service was so polite. |
