I have tried to follow the instrustions however my noteboook will not produce the page showing on the instructions so i can't even prepare the databse to work on my system. Can anyone give me the idiots guide in english thank you.

Which file have you downloaded and where are you getting stuck?

My problem is that I can down load onto my docs and temp file, however my unit is not showing up as a removable or a divice on my computer so I have no link between the main frame and the navman. I have input the disc and complied with all the instructions but when I plug in the divice it mearly bings then nothing pops up like new hardwear found or even the navman desk top.
So I cannot link the two parts to complete the cycle. Any advice would be much appretiated.

From your answer I assume that you have installed NAvman SmartST Desktop on your PC but have you got ActiveSync installed on it?
