Having tried on numerous occasions to back up "My Favourites" in Tomtom 5 on my Ipaq 2210, I must admit defeat!!!
Anyone know where they are stored so that I can back them up to PC, I had over 40 POI that were logged, but lost them due to a hard reset.......

Are you sure the hard reset was the culprit? The favorites live in the cfg file in the map folder, which is normally on the storage card and not affected by a hard reset. _________________ Lutz

Ahaaaa, gotcha........... I was messing around with the map folder adding maps and the like? I probably deleted the file myself..... ... I thought the "Favourites" folder was stored on the Ipaq? |

The only file in the map older with a .cfg extension is "Great-Britain-Map.cfg"....... I did indeed delete a whole host of POI's around the time I lost "Favourites", I guess I got a bit carried away........ 8O
Many thanks for the heads up.... |

All may not be lost.
Search smartpctools click on Recover Deleted Data and get their FREE Smart Data Recovery software.
Put your card in a Reader and you may be able to recover the .cfg. file.
Worth a try. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
