I was under the impression that the camera POIs would only 'boing' and alert you to their presence if there was a @ in their name field, however, on inspection there are quite a few that lack this along with a speed rating. What happens when you approach one of these sites? Nothing, an alert at any speed or something else? _________________ Chas

They will bong when you get near them regardless of the speed you are doing.... |

Hi,
what do you mean they will bong at whatever speed, as in another post i have taken out all the @30,40,50 etc in excel and left blank and all i get is a red warning line at the top of the screen stating the mph but only if i'm going quite close to the speed limit of that road,
what settings have you used to be warned of a camera at whatever speed
thx

If that's correct it sort of answers my question. But why are there cameras in the database marked up like this? My eyes are certainly not fixed on the i3 and away from junctions I would miss such an alert without at least the initial 'boing'. Maybe I'll go through the database and add '@0' to the end of these blank entries. I presume that this will give an alert at any speed. _________________ Chas

Looks like i mis-read the original question. If they have @0 then they will bong at any speed above 0 mph / kph. If they lack the @xx then they will not bong. |

The rules for how and when the POI are very complicated it seems. I still can't get my head around it. There is a section in the POI Loader manual that tells you what settings take priority over others but i still can't get to grips with it.
Open POI Loader and hit the Help button at the bottom right. Go to the section called "Creating Custom POI Files". |
