|
|
Hi
I'm new to satnav and haven't a clue about it. I've been given a copy of the TomTom Australia maps for my trip to Oz in a couple of weeks time. I have an HP Ipaq R1710 and was wondering if they could be used on that? Also, if they can, how do i do it???
Much needed help and guidance required. Please someone help me |

not sure if you can successfully connect a GPS receiver to the RZ1710. Other than that, just use the Product Code that the person you "have been given a copy" of the maps should have "given" you as well, and activate the maps through www.ttcode.com . _________________ Lutz

Thanx for the reply lbendlin.
Seems she has already activated it so i can't use it even though it is an original (i think from your reply that you thought i meant a "copy" copy, it's the original disk which she no longer needs). Hopefully i can buy the Australia maps while i'm out there seeing as i can't seem to get them here at the present time.
Thanx again for your help, it really is appreciated |

Just to make sure you understand. You need both maps and software. You choose the software first - it ussually comes with maps for one or more countries. If you want more countries you buy the maps for that software. For most popular systems you can't mix and match software and maps. _________________ Peter

TomTom software is free (as in beer). You pay for the maps.
If she has activated the map only once (or more than half a year ago) then you may be able to use the same Product key. _________________ Lutz

Hi Everyone, You will need some sort of GPS reciever, the rz1710 hasn't got bluetooth, so you need a car cradel with a built in GPS reciever. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |
