Where are Favourites Stored on the i3?

Please can anyone tell me if the i3 stores favourites in internal memory or on the transflash card? I'm not sure if this makes any significant difference for my purpose. My reason for asking is that when I get MetroGuide Canada and load it onto a new card ideally I would like to put in and store as favourites a couple of early destinations for our Canada holiday. Time is going to be pretty critical when we arrive so if I can do a bit of pre-planning here it will all help. Should this be possible in principle?

pretty sure its in the i3 internal memory...when i put a usa map card in the i3 it still had the uk favorites on it..

yeah sure you can do this now at home, you can also use google earth and see if there is anything of interest on there, then log the co-ords and translate them to i3 language and upload them toi3, ive prep'd mine now for Arran for when i go in the summer!
