Medion MDSP150 speaker

No sound from speaker despite being charged for about and hour. Is this a fault of am I missing something. Advice would be most welcome.

I found with mine that the speaker lead from the phone cradle to the phone was really stiff to push in the first time I used it.

I had to push the jack in until it clicked in both the phone and the cradle thought I was going to break it with how hard it was to push in

Also the volume control was turn of o the cradle and had to be turned on
