I think it will reinstall your corrupted registry, but to do a hard reset, with the iPAQ on press buttons 1 and 4 (Calendar and iTask?) and at the same time press the soft reset button until the screen fades. I think that you then have to connect the device to mains power to start it up again.

Hi casper256
Your restore will depend on when you done your backup. If you done a full backup when your PDA was running perfectly then all will be fine. But if you done your backup after your corrupt registry occurred then the restore (as Tim Buxton has pointed out) will be corrupt too. A lesson learned for the future, backup on a regular basis.

A small favour; the rules say there should be a maxium of four lines in a signature. You can specify your location in your profile, which would lose one, and putting two bits of info on one line is allowed.

Sorry Tim
I was always told to read anything before signing. Unfortunately on many occasions I have failed to do so.

No, that's cool. You aren't the first and you won't be the last. I used to have a five-liner myself until I read the rules. Embarassed
