|
|
Hi All...can someone help me PLEASE!!!
I've done a search on this but no luck.
I've just bought myself a tomtom 300 from ebay, and all is working great...except the full postcode search function....it's just the same as inputting it from the address option. (Yes, I am using the postcode option, not the address one)
I've run the new 5.420 update, but that has made no difference, and the person I bought it off has emailed me with the great_britain.postal file to put in the ZIP file on the SD card. All very well, except there is no ZIP file so it's still not working Any ideas of what I can do? It's so frustrating as this was the main reason I opted for a tomtom.
I'd really appreciate any help you can offer...
Thanks!! |

All is solved....I just needed to create a new folder, name it ZIP and drop the file in that...et voila! |

I hope you really bought a GO 300 and not a Classic. Also, what your seller did is slightly illegal and should not be discussed in these forums. |

Are you sure you have a 300? The lack of the zip folder suggests you have not? _________________ Darren Griffin |

hi yes it's definstely a 300.
Why is it illegal....it's surely the same as selling anything else unused and unwanted on ebay? |

It's not the sale of the GO, rather the supply of the PostCode data. This can only legally be supplied as part of a Map Update by TomTom.
However the issue is still why a GO 300 would be missing the zip folder when this (and the TomTom folder) are a standard part of the Operating System and shouldn't be missing? _________________ Darren Griffin |
