USB-PC Problem: 520 Help Please

Hi, I've just bought the ICN 520, and it works fine as far as navigation a I was playing with it while out last night. However, this morning i install the software but the software cannot find the ICN.

The manual says (as I'm sure you well know) Plug in the USB, plug in the power and press the power key. I've done that so many different ways you wouldn't beleive. With the battery slide to off and on, plugging it in and pressing the reset key, but every time I'm taking to the MAP and the manual says I should get a screen showing a USB connecting to a PC.

I hear the little noise from Windows saying it's connected and when it's dissconnected but the SmartST software isn't picking the ICN up.
