Have been messing about trying to change the speed camera POI warnings, anyway in doing so I have messed up my SD card and when I switch on I just get a screen showing the card been taken out of the machine and a big X being drawn through it. Went to restore the back up I made in December when I brought the TT1, but it tells me it can't find it, yet it's sitting there on my hard disk in the same place it wrote it to. So I copied the contents of this back up to my cameras SD card and put that into the TT1 and I just get the same screen. The back up was made on the old software version and I'm now using 5.42 is this why it's not recognising it?

Any ideas how I can get this working again.

Thanks.

What sort of Backup did you do? Full or Personal Settings?

What method did you use for the Backup, and did you use the same method to do the Restore? Did you Format the Card before doing the Restore?

I've never tried to do a Restore with a different version, so you might have to go back to the original version to Restore.

Don’t' know why but I did another backup of the corrupt card when it had finished I noticed that it had named the folder it was stored as Tom Tom One. The folder my original backups where stored in was called Tom Tom Go?

I deleted the new backup as it was corrupt anyway renamed the original folder to Tom Tom One, went to do a restore and it recognised both backups I'd made of my TT1 on the day of purchase and restored absolutely fine and I'm delighted to say I'm back up and running, the only thing I have notice is it gone back to 5.41, but hey it Works!!
