Can the POIsync be used with Navman 570 for active POI's

I'm getting really stuck trying to make this work, but can someone confirm that this possible, or do we have to do it manually via the SmartST software?

Manually, I'm afraid. The Navman software converts the data to a proprietory format before saving it to the device. You have to use Navman's POIEditor.

can I still download the file via Poiedit & store then trasnfer via STsmart to the PDA?

I honestly have no idea. I just reload the files each month using POIEditor. Try it and post back; it won't do any harm and your experience might help others.

Yes it does.

1)Save the files to PC as csv.
2)Then use the normal STsmart POI software - transfer files (inc removing the 1st 2 lines of text in notepad).

I've only loaded the main 5 groups & not the gasto 30,40 & so on. I'll still get all the locations I guess, just not different icons for each?

Yes, that's correct. You will get all the gatso, SPECS and mobile site warnings but will not get individual icons for each speedzone.

Having never used POIEdit before, can you tell me what the first two lines of each file are? I'm used to removing the first line of .csv files but the second line is usually data.

Incidentally, I've changed to adding a ; to the beginning of unwanted lines as opposed to deleting them; POIEditor ignores such lines.

when I open the file in notepad, the 1st line consists of the name 2 aurthor & the 2 lines was blank, so I removed that as well. I suppose that the 2nd line would have no real impact?

The 1st & only previous time I uploaded these files I didn't include the Icon's so I'm quite looking forward to seeing them.

This site has really helped me save some money. My old PDA broke, so I sold my snooper s4 & bought the Pin 570. I couldn't afford to keep both & keep updating the snoopr & I'm a sale rep so GPS is almost a must.

I'm not sure about the blank line, so it's probably best to delete it anyway. I have a Snooper S6-R Neo and I got a letter only a couple of days agon saying my subscription was about to run out. I won't renew the subscription but will keep the device as it has the added radar/laser detector. Mind you, since I don't exceed any speed limits, I won't need it. Laughing
