I have downloaded a safety cameras database to my PC but have no idea how to copy it to TomTomGo 700. For some reason TomTom does not appear on the "My computer" screen. Would anyone be kind enough to provide step-by-step instructions?

Hi Nina,
Have you followed the instructions in the link that I gave you, in reply to your post here?

Hi Robert,
Thank you very much for both replies. I have followed your instructions but I am unable to see TomTom among the devices with removable storage. I am using a mobile for this operation because the socket is easier to reach, and I have already restarted it twice.

Have you switched the TomTom GO 700 on, when you connected it via the USB cable to your PC?
The GO 700 will appear as a new drive letter (e.g. Removable Disk #, where # is a drive letter E, F, G, etc).

I presume that you are using a mobile to connect to the internet and this forum, and not using a mobile to update the GO 700 with the speed camera database?

Hi Robert.
I wrote "mobile" instead of "laptop"absentmindedly! Yes, I have a "removable disk F" but when I highlight it , a message "insert disk..." appears. By the way, how do I make a backup of my TomTom hard drive?
I know that I am hopeless, but, I am afraid, this cannot be remedied.
