I had installed Navigator 5 from the SD card in the TomTom box and used it alright until one day the application froze the iPAQ when I tried to launch it. I use Navigator 5 with the GB maps on an iPAQ 6340. I deleted Navigator and tried to install the software again , but the setup froze at the point I select the voice. A softreset needed to use the iPAQ again. Also tried copying the files from the original 128 MB SD to a Lexar 512 MB SD card and running the application from there and the Navigator 52 upgrade but to no avail.

Has anyone experienced this problem and resolved it?

Hi,

have you tried upgrading the Ipaq ROM to the latest one from the HP site?

I too have an Ipaq 6340 and found it was a bit flaky with TT5 until I upgraded the ROM. Something to do with improvements in the BT manager??

I tried the iPAQ ROM upgrade and alsos called TomTom support who advised to backup the SD card, reformat, reload and upgrade to the latest software version 5.2. I tried all and the problem persists. Have sent the SD card back to Tomtom for replacement. TT provide a UPS collection service which is very convenient for repair or replacement. Will get replacement in 5-10 days. Fingers crossed.

Thank you for the advice.
