|
|
Hi all,
Been using my i3 for 4 days now and loving it.
Quick question though, although I'm not sure if it's relevant or not as I have not yet run into this situation.
Looking through the csv files there are a number of cameras (var, redlight, temp and tba) that do not have an @speed constnat set beside them. Does this mean that if, for example, I was sitting in a queue of traffic approaching Traffic Lights where one of these cameras were situated I would be getting constant bongs from the i3 even thought I wasn't moving?
If my assumption is correct would I be better changing all of the blank items to @5 or some other small value so that I am only notified if I am moving?
If I am wrong, cansomeone please explain how this actually works?
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, if it needs more clarification, let me know.
Many thanks

as StellaArtois says, it only bongs when you go OVER the set limit. as the limit is 0 it will only bong when you move. |

The @0 will allow the POI to show on the map at all times when it is withinthe distance range. It will only bong once to say it is there. However, when you stop it will disappear and not show. As soon as you ove off again, it will bong and show you where the POI is, Redlight, Temp light or whatever.
Lots of detail on this is you do a search, but hope this helps answer the question | Thanks for your reply. What happens if there is no @ value (as lots of the cams do not have a value)? |

it will use the default value as set in poi loader (usually 0 unless you've changed it) |
