So, here's another nubie question... When you lose your satellite signal (going indoors for example), the Nuvi asks you if you are indoors. If you answer 'yes' the system stops trying to track you via satelite - very logical. But when you then go back outdoors, how do you 'tell' the system to reaquire the signal? I seem to only be able to do that by turning off/on the system, this seems strange and the manual does not explain how!
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jon |

Hi Valid8r
Are you saying you don't receive a satellite signal when indoors?
The Nuvi uses the SiRF Star lll Gps receiver like the Tom Tom One which i have & i receive a very good signal indoors, the reason i am asking is i was thinking of buying the Nuvi for my sister. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

Dead easy with the Nuvi to relocate your sat signals. The fold out antenna on the back operates the gps, so after you've gone indoors and lost signal which sometime happens even with the new chipset just close and re-open the antenna and your away.
Hope that helps

I should ditch the Tom Tom to your suster and get a Nuvi for yourself - you'll see why when you buy it!i |
