To be honest the A1000 is a pile of pants anyway and is so strangled by Three's lockdown and walled garden that it's not worth having.

Look for a compatible Nokia or SPV and you'll be better off.

Hi,

The o2 xda range, the xda exec and the min s are really popular at the moment.

Have a look around my site at the cradles available from Brodit, and it might help you decide which is the best option for you.

The Xda exec (Jasjar MDA PRO) is the current favourite!

Cheers,

Bryson

Any of the following:

O2 XDA Exec aka Orange m5000
Mini

SPV C550
Nokia 6600

Are all good phones.

but to me it looks like you can't have the exec connected to wired gps or you have to connect each time you have to use it which is a pain as i am in & out all day long Confused

yeah, both the XDA Exec and XDA mini s are listed as having a molex active cradle that accepts wired GPS, I have requested that Brodit remove this term, as the USB prevents the GPS from communicating with the device.......Indeed BT GPS is it for now!

Just to confirm the Brodit Active cradles for the Exec and Mini S DO NOT allow wired GPS units to work as stated on their website (under code 968649 etc)

Cheers all

Bryson
