I bought a TTGo 500 recently.
When I am using the blue tooth connection to make a call, all starts of OK.
During the conversation, I get people saying to me "hello, are you there" and I am replying but to no avail. This has happened on more than one call and the receiver tells me that all of a sudden it will sound like a loud hissing and they can't hear me. As the TTGo connects into the support bracket quite rigidly, I'd be suprised if it was down to a lose connection.
Is anyone else experiencing this or know what is the problem?

Are you using the external microphone? If not I would recommend it. Also what phone are you using?

I'm using the microphone from the cradle support which should work.
The phone is a Nokia 6230.

To my knowledge the 6230 isn't supported, only the 6230i. Check TomToms web site.

Hi

The 6230 IS supported and should work fine.

I've had a problem with mine when it's accessing traffic at the same time it can't cope doing both things at once - also sometimes I get an echo.

Do you use traffic?

Also check what frimware you're on - V4.xxx is a little twitchy sometimes.

You might need a FW upgrade

I think my problem is possibly a faulty connection because sometimes if I move it about whilst docked, I can sometimes get a response.

I confirm. The Nokia 6230 works well in all aspects.

Contacts, sends/receives messages, Caller ID, the lot.

Depending on where you got it from try and get a replacement as you might have to wait a while for a repair and you haven't had it that long.

I think it's something like within 28 days you are entitled to a replacement.

Hope this helps....
