car power cable

Does anyone know if i can use my Ipaq 2210 car power lead on my new Ipaq 4700 i have pushed the lead in at the bottom of my 4700 and it is a perfect fit or is there a different power or wiring issue.

I dont want to buy one if the old one will do the job

Yes this will work, I have done similar with a couple of ipaq devices - Cheers Mike

Hp technical support Uk have just replied via online support and said that i cannot use my Ipaq 2210 car power lead with my Ipaq 4700 even though it is a perfect fit.

Well I have powered my mates up in the car using a lead intended for the 4700 which I own and that worked fine, o the same must work in reverse, yrt the HP site for accessory listings and compare the part numbers for the various devices, external keyboards ETC and you will find a match, they only want to sell more hardware - Mike
