We'll need a bit more info....
First of all, try to remember exactly what you have done so far while you were installing the camera files.
Secondly, did you do any sort of backup to your PC first (can't emphasise how important this is!)
Thirdly, connect the TT upto the PC again, and look at the contents of the SD card. Is there a folder there called something like "Great_Britain-Map" or "Western_Europe-Map" (these are the names for the Go300 and 700 - I can't remember the exact name for the 500). There should be quite a few files in there, the biggest having names like cline.dat, cnode.dat and cname.dat.
Finally, if the map folder isn't there, do a thorough search of your PC harddrive, in case you have somehow accidently dragged the folder out of your memory card onto the PC.
Good luck - if all else fails you'll have to talk to TomTom (on the phone NOT by email). They will grudgingly sort it for you if you supply proof of purchase and send back the card.
The quicker (but not terribly ethical) way would be to take it back to the shop as "broken". |

If the maps are still on the SD card on the GO, they may have just lost their link to the system. Dragging all the files out of the GO, and then dragging them all back, is said to restore that link. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Firstly thanks for taking the time to help me.
I cant really remember exactly what I did, just followed the instructions as best as I could(obviously not good enough)
I didn`t make a backup, another lesson learned the hardway!
There is a file there called Great_Britain_Plus_Maps which has 16 files inside it which are as follows:-
cname -DAT
cnode -DAT
faces -DAT
fast food - BMP
fast food -OV2
Great Britain Plus -midi sequence file
Great Britain PLus -PNA
Great Britain PLus -MMS
Great Britain PLus Map -CFG
map info -DAT
POI -DAT
speed cameras -BMP
speed cameras -OV2
TMC codes -DAT
Traffic -DAT
Traffic -INC
Doed the above information shed any light on the problem?
Finally I tried dragging all the files out then back in but it made no difference.
Cheers |
