I don't know what to do anymore. I cannot get my PPC (I-Mate K-Jam) to see my slim 236.

The receiver is on and locked as the orange light is flashing. BT seems to be working as the blue light is flashing. I have paired the receiver to my PPC on com 7. My problem is none of my GPS apps (GPS Viewer, Mapopolis, GPS Gate) can see the receiver on com7 or any other com port I try use.

It used to work perfectly about 4 days ago but now it won't work no matter what I try. I even hard reset my PPC and only installed GPS Viewer and it doesn't work.

I tried my partner's K-Jam and it doesn't work either so it's not my PPC. I can only think that something is wrong with the receiver. Is there anyway to check or reset the receiver?

I'm on a trip in the US at the moment was relying on this for my navigation.

Somebody please suggest something before I throw this thing out the hotel window.

Ok, I got my receiver working again. I guy on the GPSPassion forum reset his receiver by opening it up and quickly shorting the two terminals of the backup battery.

Just did that and now it works faultlessly again.

If anyone is interested here is the link http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=44809
Obviously this will probably invalidate any warranty but for me it was important to get the receiver working again.
