|
|
Hello Everyone
I have a T-Mobile SDA and tomtom5 mobile. My GPS reciever, a copilot D1598, is picked up by my SDA and pairs successfully. But when i go into tomtom it states that there is no gps device.
If I then go into the preferences and set it as other gps rather then tomtom i still get the same problem. I get a message from tomtom stating please pair devices but they already are.
Does anyone have any suggests.
Thanks for help in advance |

Once the GPS unit is connected to the phone via BT go to GPS setup within TomTom and select the Other wired NMEA device , then the correct Baud speed for your unit (read the suppliers info for this) then on the last page select the bluetooth com port - its the out going one you need (tip - put the device into landscape mode first to be able to see the port numbers - its just easier this way) then take it outside and wait for a sync - if the blue/ yellow disk isn't spinning (top RH) then you have a problem with the settings, so try the other BT connection within TT - Mike |

Hello
I have just checked within my tomtom gps config and i dont have Other wired NMEA device listed. I only have the tomtom device or other gps device.
Should this matter?? |

You should have a page that says "Other Cable NMEA GPS" use this - I know its a BT unit but go through what I said earlier in terms of configuration and it should work - Mike |
