Which Version to Use ?

Hi I am a new user with a Tungsten E and I am a bit confused as to all the different versions of Mapsonic/ViaMichelin Navigator. I just bought a used Tungsten E with mapsonic 1.32 & Mapstore 2.32 installed. I see that one can download an updated demo version 2, but this may not be able to read my maps ?
I don't especially want the very latest version, but I would like up-to-date maps and the ability to add Speed Camera POI's. I need something stable and the less money I have to pay the better ! Should I try to upgrade as far as 2.52, or stick with what I have ?

Getting up to date mapping is only possible by buying up to date versions of the navigation software. The mapping appears to be tied to the release that was around when the mapping was updated. Therefore for the latest mapping, one has to buy the latest version of the software. Currently that is ViaMichelin 4.3.
