Hi guys

A friend of mine has just installed TT5 on his mitac mio pda as a replacement for copilot 5 which came on it.

He said the install went well, as did the safety camera database from here Laughing

But everytime he turns tom tom off, the home position is being forgotten.

I compared the settings he was using against my 2210 and I couldn't see anything a miss tbh.

Any ideas, i can imagine it's a bit of a PITA to have to reset the home location every time it's used.

The .cfg file in the map folder on the storage card is set to read only, you will need to transfer it to your main pc then make sure that NO attributes are set at all then copy back to the map folder.

Thanks for that, i'll have a play with it at work tomorrow.

I assume I can just sync the pda and copy it back to the pc via the explore function in active sync?

Are the attributes in the properties?

Thanks for the help 8)

Yes Copy the .cfg file to your main pc via ActiveSync, then right click the file - properties - and make sure none of the attributes are ticked, then save it and copy it back to the map folder, again via ActiveSync.

If that does not solve it. A friend of mine had the same problem and the SD card was at fault. I tried his card in mine and same problem, then mine in his and it worked fine. He had a kingston card and mine was a sandisc for the record. not to say all Kingston cards have this problem.
hope this helps, let us know !.
