Postcode Searching v3.5

Hi everyone, first time post!

Im new to the ViaMichelin software I have 3.5. Simple question, I see in v4 there is postcode searching. Is this a new feature? i.e. I cannot do postcode searches at the moment in v3.5. Do I need to upgrade or am I missing something? If I am is there a link to a download perhaps.

I think you are confusing the version numbering of Mapstore (the PC component of the viaMichelin product) and Mapsonic the PDA component. v3.5 of Mapstore was the last version of Mapstore released and came with v2.5 (or possibly earlier!) of the Mapsonic software. v3.0 (and v3.1, 3.2 and 3.3) of the Mapsonic software whether sold directly or offered as a free upgrade to v2.5 users, provided partial postcode searching for the UK only but this only applies to the pda component.

v4 of Mapsonic extended postcode searching to other European countries but as I do not have v4 I cannot say whether that applies only to the PDAcomponent or includes the PC component (Mapstore) as well.

The Postcode search within the UK in version V4.3 of the PDA software is a backward step from the V3.2 as it now only allows 3 Digit Searches and has a number of areas missing. Version 3.2 allowed 4 digit seaches then street name which I found ideal for locating any street in the UK, the new facility in V4.3 has failed to find most searches I have attempted.

My confidence in this product was knocked when it could not find my own street, my daughters flat and my previous address all of which are properties that have been there for the past 25 years so they are not exactly new roads.
