Presuming that it has the same as the rest of the GO range, it used to be 36.
However, I think it is generally not used so much now because of the difficulties in saving the Favourites information. Creating a new POI category, called Favs or whatever, means it can have a larger number of entries and can be backed/restored as necessary. _________________ Richard

I use the Favs as a sort of temporary store, because it is quicker to store things there, and then move them to various POI groups later, when I'm not driving. |

There is a limit of 39 custom POI categories (additional to included categories) but I'm not aware of a limit on the number of POIs within a category. If there is a limit is 1000s at least. |

So does that mean I could set up a 'friends' category then and have all my friends addesses as well as a business one and so on?
(seems a bit of a funny way of storing addresses? I would've never have known that if I hadn't of ask you helpful bunch as it doesn't say anything in the manuals etc.) |

Well, what you are actually storing (with a Favourite or a POI) is just a location.
What you then call it can include the address or whatever. (If you make the name very long and cannot see it all in the list, the trick is to tap and hold your finger on the entry. It will then change to a smaller font, so you can peer round your finger to see more. If you don't want it to select, wipe your finger to the edge of the screen before you lift it off.
The other difference between Favourites and POIs that I forgot to mention, is that both show up on the map when you "Browse Map", but Favourites don't show up on the 3D display while you are driving.
And Yes, I've set up different POI categories for "My Favs" and "My kids favs" etc. |
