hi again!
I need help again:
As soon as the Advanced Planning function has it's calculated the route between two locations it automatically re-calculate the route from my current position! Not very advanced at all!
Anybody come across this before?
I've tried the reset button, but have yet to try restoring from the back-up cd I made.
Everything else seems to work fine.
Any suggestions?

I'm afraid it's the way it works. Yours is a common complaint.
You'll need to lose the Sat Lock to get it to work as you want. _________________ Richard

what version are you running? This functionality has changed a bit, at least since v5.0. Earlier versions always recalculated after a few seconds, if you had a gps 3D fix.
If you plan a route from A to B, you get the summary. If you press OK, you go back to the normal navigation view en route is recalculated.
But if if you press Route from the summary, then you get options to view or demo your route. As long as you stay within this menu, the route is not recalculated from your current position. The moment you leave the route menu, you go back to the navigation view and the route is recalculated again. _________________ GO1005

I got the impression that it was more for pre planning when you weren't able to get your current position
Works ok on my PDA tho as the GPS is simply turned off but I can see that it is pretty much useless on the GO if your outside, unless you get yourself a BIG metal box for your and your go |

Never been a problem for me.
What TuurG says is how it is supposed to work. After it has worked out the A-B route and shown the summary, just press Route and you get all the usual options to view as text, pictures etc. or demo your route.
When done, going back to normal mode is just what you'd want isn't it? |
