I do not know if anyone has experienced this prob. I have just transferred my Tom Tom 5.1 GB plus maps onto a larger SD card then installed the speed camera's , they show on the screen but now I get no audible warning. every thing worked perfectly ok before I transferred the prog.I did exactly the same as I did on the old card , any advice appreciated.
thanks guys |

Hi Grayus, Have you checked to see if the "Alert of POI" is activated in your options, as you have just downloaded the speed camera database, this option will be off untill you activate it. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |

Hi Rich .
Volume fine, same as I said every thing works AOK apart from no audible warning for speed camera's I replaced the original card last night and that worked fine , so it has to be something in the transferto the other card but I am blessed if I know what it is I did , If no one can help and I find out why I will post it up in case anyone else has the same prob.
many thanks |

When, you did the install did you put the whole lot including the program onto the SD? The warnings are contained in a file called data.chk which normally resides in the programe files/ Navigator folder, make sure this file is in the correct place, also if you have modifed this file for real spoken alerts please make sure it is the correct file you have loaded in relation to the software version of TomTom you have loaded - Mike |

Hi Mike
I think that I have sussed it out, I unticked every thing in the POi ,made sure the SD card was unlocked re ticked the POI and re set the required sounds and distance . and glory be it worked.these things are so frustrating at times.
many thanks all for your interest .
Kind regards
Graham
PS when one updates the speed camera's does it overwrite the existing ones or does it just add the updates ?thanks for your time .. |
