hi all

i was messing with the settings on my c500
i found a way of extending the battery life if you usualy drive with the backlight screen on

go into settings and find the backlight setting in there select backlight to go of when not charging

this will switch of the backlight as you have the phone set for but..as you are driving along when you pass a poi or the next imstruction is needed the screen comes back on as and when required
it also comes back on for example when you are driving with no route selected and you pass a selected poi such as the safety cameras

i dont know if this works on every phone but it may extend your battery if you can set it

i had not known about this trick and i am sure i have not read about it anywhere
