|
|
Hi there,
I have recently installed TTN 5.21 on my Medion PPC150 and when i try and get it to lock onto sats it wont co-operate. Although the GPS doesnt lock onto the sats it still works and navigates me perfectly.
To lock on to the sats, do i need to leave it in the same position (outside) for a certain amount of time or can it be done whilst moving?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

as you said leaving the unit in hte car or near a window in the house for a while may solve the problem. also if tt has a lock and is then switched off and moved a distance it can take a little while to re adjust _________________ www.road-racer.co.uk

alix,
This does spin, and it just spins constantly. the grey bars gow up and down all the time but it just doesnt lock.
The Navigation works perfect and has no lag on it or anything so i cant really complain, Would it make much difference if there was Sat Lock???? |

personally if it aint broke dont fix it would my fisrt answer if its showing the the circle spining and then sat bars are grey when they get a lock they should turn blue which is when the singal meter works.
but if its showing your postion then it sounds like its working
do the bars go blue when the map shows you position _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

I had a medion PPC150 with tomtom 5 installed and could never get the satellite signal strength to display on the map display screen, if i went into the GPS status settings the yellow circle would be spinning and the bars would be there but always greyed out, never seen them go blue using the Medion PPC150 actually!
Even though it wouldn't display the satellite strength on the signal meter tomtom actually worked fine, i did have tomtom 3 installed on the same PDA before tomtom5 and that displayed the signal strength perfectly.
Just seems to be yet another tomtom 5 bug. _________________ Garmin Streetpilot i3,
