help help i have done almost every thing i can think of to change my splash screen.
rotated the picture changed to bmp and still i get a blank screen
its the new year now and i got no hair left if i do not get any help soon i will start pulling my teeth out so please dont let me destroy my self any further
i am sure it is something daft i am doing
please please help me
i am using 5.20 soft ware

What is the size of your bitmap (it should be 226KB) and called "spash.bmp"

Should be "splash.bmp"!!! :D

1) The filename must be "splash.bmp" NOT "splash.bmp.bmp - very easy to do if you haven't changed Windows Explorer / My Computer NOT to "hide extensions for known file types" (in Tools/Folder Options/View)
2) 240 pixels wide by 320 high
3) 24 bit
4) Should end up 226KB in size.

You could try installing a ready made one from:

That would check whether your problems are coming from your own file or from your installing on the TomTom.
