Does anyone know where I can get a different text message alert for my tom tom 500, As at the moment I only get the polite 2 warning which i think is the average speed camera warning. Confused

You get an audible alert? I don't get that with my 500. Crying or Very sad

Now I'm jealous and looking forward to a helpful answer.

You can use any sound you like, save as an ogg file and call it smsreceived.ogg and copy to the root of your sd card.
I know this worked on previous versions of the tomtom software.

Do you know where I can get something that says it rather than having to create it?

Laughing
Thanks once again you were able to give me the information I needed to get it how I wanted!
Just one more sound to try out now.

Does this mean that If you can have this one set for text alerts that you could have another sound set up for general alerts as in not speed camera warnings
