|
|
Hi - This is my first post, the forum is excellent but there is one thing I can find after searching.....
Does anyone know if I can get an alternative mount for the Garmin i3? I'd like a mount I can screw into my Brodit vent mount but can't seem to find anything on the net, anyone able to help?
Thanks. |

Using the sticky pad is not an option as it will come un-stuck after a time. I have found a company called RAM than do csto mounts, but don't list anything for the i3 specifically, but do for other Gramin products, they state they have a ball and socket mount option, but I'm not sure if all Garmin products have the same size ball on their mounts, does anyone know? If not what size is the one on the i3 mount? |

The ball for the i3 is 17mm diameter. Not sure if that matches other Garmin units though.
I've been making i3 mounts for motorbikes so if ram mount can't get you anything with a 17mm ball, PM me and I can maybe custom design something to do what you need. |

Top stuff - thanks for the helpful info, I'll look into finding a 17mm mount and give you a shout if I can't find anything.
Cheers... |

Has anyone found a suitable vent mount yet? The air vent on my Saab 9-5 is crying out for placement of the i3 but obviously the sucker mount will not work.
Any suggestions gratefully received................ |
