hi all newbie here, what are the envelopes for when you are driving around? when i go down some roads envelopes appear on the map?? i have downloaded the camera database and was wondering if it was anything to do with that? plus i went past a speed camera and i had no warning, then went past another and it warned me??
can you change the default warning sound for cameras to a voice ? thanks in advance regards dave |

the envelope symbols i think you will find are post boxes.the cameras you pass that you do not get a warning of will not be in your current database so you need to install the lataest camera database but not all cameras have been submitted to the database. |

They are not post boxes, but Post Offices. At times, their accuracy leaves something to be desired, as does that of all the built-in POIs. _________________ Tim |

Unless you've somehow managed to associate the Envelope icon with the cameras, I'm not sure why this should happen.
When you transferred the camera database to your Navman, did you select the appropriate bitmap file for each category? _________________ Tim |

you can select in the settings how far away you want to be alerted of poi like cameras.
every time i pass a post box the envelope shows up so it must of been set up like that by previous owner. |
