As long as the map gets you to your destination most of the time, then I would wait and see what the next map update brings.

As things stand there will always be 'imperfections' in the mapping, of one sort or another. You even get that with paper maps, but with sat nav the expectations are higher. Smile

I only updated my maps because it was cheap, £9.99 at halfords, not used the tomtom that has not got be there, so no real need for new maps. and I think there too expensive after you paid £300+ for a tomtom and they want about £100 every year to update the maps, in my option its a rip off

They quite possibly even older. It's a difficult thing to put a time to.

If TeleAtlas set a deadline every 3 months, some of the data will already be 3 months old. If it then takes another 3 months to compile the data into a workable model, that makes 6 months.

If TomTom then uses that data to model a map which can take up to 6 months. Your original data is then 12 months old.

That is probably an optimistic scenario. Smile

I have only bought one upgrade in the three years I've had the GO. Just waited until I definitely knew that the upgrade had some roads I wanted. I wouldn't just buy one and hope.
