Qtek 9100 and TTN 5.21 - no maps found?

I wonder if someone out here can help me. I recently got the Qtek 9100 pda/phone and whenTomTom introduced the 5.21 upgrade that is supposed to be compatible with WM 5.0, I also bought the Navigator 5.0 Bluetooth for PDA.

The first problem is that the 5.0 files (copied from the original SD card that came in the package to my 512 Mb Mini-SD) do not work at all. I tried to run the CAB-files as suggested in several thorough guides found on the net but they would not run.

I then installed the 5.21 upgrade (although they say it only can be installed on top of a registered older version) through my ActiveSync and the Navigator does start normally but reports no maps found. I have the maps on the root directory of the Mini-SD (as they were on the original SD card) and I have even created a TomTom directory under My Documents on the device and, in that folder created the CurrentMap.dat file with the correct path as instructed. Still no maps found.

Is there any way around this problem or should I just return the package and wait until TomTom releases a version that is officially compatible? I have contacted their service and they politely refuse to give any advice since the 9100 is not officially supported (yet) - even though the identical K-Jam is listed as a supported....

You may have bought an older map version. As of version 5.100 TTN does not read v4 maps any more. You need to buy the v5 maps (build 562 or better)
