Medion PNA MD95900 Europe street level maps

Hi there,

I've got the MD95900 PNA from Aldi and it runs on Navigator 4.75. I have the opportunity to upgrade the software on the unit to Navigator 5.1, but will my European street level maps on Navigator 4.75 (I have the full set :D )work with the newer Navigator 5.1 software?

I'm almost sure I'm going to do it anyway, as I don't really use the maps for Europe much at all, but it would be nice if I wouldn't have to throw them out!

Looking at the medion shop www.medionshop.co.uk they have different maps for different versions of the software. You can surmise from that the maps are different.

Where did you get 5.1 if you don't mind me asking. I have v5 and I'm looking to upgrade it to 5.1 so I can run POI Warner.

Medion offered me the 5.1 software as an apologetic gesture. I had sent them an email about 2 months ago, asking why I couldn't check the elevation usingmy MD95900, when the manual gives reference to this feature. I hadn't received any response, and then 2 months later I got an email from them asking what I thought of their response and did it solve my issue!!! 8O

Needless to say, my reply was polite yet scathing . That's when they offered me the upgrade FOC , but they won't give me the street level maps of Europe for the 5.1 upgrade (the 4.75 version won't work with the 5.1 version).

As I don't really use the Europe street level maps, I think I'll go for the upgrade and discard the 4.75 version Europe street level maps.
