Its comes with backup euro street maps.
But what happens with the guarantee if something goes wrong in the 2 years?

I would suggest that backup euro street maps implies that you won't be getting afully legal copy of the maps, which could prove problematic when trying to use them.

Well that's a shame, but each to his own. Perhaps this information from Navman themselves will help. Click here to read what they say about eBay purchases.

Of particular relevance will be the paragraph headed Faulty Devices.

In my experience there is a lot of stuff on Ebay, but not all of it does in fact live up to its billing, so to speak. The backup maps sounds like it has only some basic general maps loaded. I would want the full street level maps if I was you. make sure you ask then to clarify this before you purchase.

Each to his own indeed but I have never been impressed with Ebay as there seems to be so much variability in what is offered. I prefer to go to a website or a retaileer that I have at least a chance of getting my money back if something goes wrong- its a little over cautious I'm sure, but I want to use my hard earned money to its best advantage, and I could not just put an item back on ebay toget shot of something that is just rubbish.

So be careful is my only suggestion.

Correct, you would have to buy two, just as if you bought two cars you'd have to buy a tax disc for each; you wouldn't just be able to swap one disc between the two.

What guarantee? Who says you will get one? And will it be worth the paper it is written on even if you do? Accept that when shopping on ebay you are in a dodgier position than through a proper retailer. As long as you are willing to take that risk you will get the product cheaper.

Buying kit like this from Ebay is like getting from a bloke in the pub - you don't know exactly what you are going to get, where it has come from and you have little comeback.

I've only been 100% happy on a few occasions with things I've bought on Ebay.

If possible I would steer clear for a relativley big purchase such as this and get it somewhere else.

Hope this helps.
