Navman 320 or Navman 610

Hello

I am looking to buy one of the above devices tomorrow.

It is for my dad and he wants a basic machine with maybe speed camera info.

I think the 610 has POI when the 320 does not. So a plus point for the 610. What worries me is that the 610 is a bit chunky and is also discontinued. I can both of them for £170.

Any advice would be welcome?

I also note that the garmin i3 is in the same price range, should I avoid the navmen and go for the i3?

Never tried the i3. The iCN610 will have older maps, the 320 doesn't accept POIs and doesn't have moving maps either.

I was hoping that it would be possible to update the maps!

Do you know how old the maps would be?

My Dad really only needs a simple machine so unless there is anything glaringly wrong my hunch is to go with the 610.

Ended up buying the 610 for £150 from Dixons (last one and had a rip on the box!) The chap said the 320 has some problems and a lot are returned. The i3 I saw in halfords and it looked to small to be honest.

I think my Dad will be happy!
