How to use TOMTOM 5 with HP rz1700 navigation pack

I bought a hp zr 1700 navigation pack with a cradle for the car and leadtek gps mousse with cable. Tomtom Doesn't seems to find the mouse on com 1. I'm sure that this is the wright port because ik works on the viamichelin software on a boudrate of 4800.

Please help, because i really want to use tomtom, it has lot of more options than viamichelin,

reprogram the receiver to NMEA mode. TomTom doesn't speak SiRF.
