How come i2 users have a nice shiny gold front, i5 users have a beautiful chrome front, but i3 users have to sit there looking at a sort of sludgy blue grey front :P it certainly ruins my day are they trying to make me aware im a cheapskate ? _________________ Garmin StreetPilot i3

sounds like gold or chrome is a bit too blinging for you lot :P i guess the blue is better as it doesnt reflect the sun into your eyes when your looking at the screen so much.
Changing the subject i looked at a big square looking touchscreen garmin item (dont know the model number) on the garmin stand at MPH a couple of weeks ago. a guy asked if we needed any help. my bro started it from the main screen entered a london postcode and after a few screens it came up with about 4 of the postcodes it had found and then a 'go back' tab at the bottom this is where the screen totally locked up and wouldnt do anything.
I must say it appeared most impressive and my brother bit the guys arm off to purchase one
Do you think it failed cos it had had 1000s of hands hitting it all day or cos it was inside and couldnt get a satellite fix? _________________ Garmin StreetPilot i3

Next thing you know, somebody will be selling accessories, including a case and screen surround, in gold, with cubic zirconias embedded in.
As a compulsory purchase, you'll be obliged to either buy, or show you are currently wearing 2 out of 3 of: a sovereign ring, a "gold" necklace saying "MUM" or "DAD" on (and you must still be in your teens for this to be a viable option), or sporting Burberry clothing. |

Neither - it failed because of a software bug. Simple as that.
Meanwhile, back in Threadville:
I have to disagree with your romanticised descriptions of the i2/5 colours - "Chrome" looks to me like silver/grey plastic, and "Gold" looks more like a snotty yellow/green colour... 8O |

I like electrical items to be black/silver/gold so they are neutral and blend in with existing equipment.
I think the i3 surround would look better in jet black or silver in my opinion as it would blend into the interior better on most cars than blue. _________________ Garmin StreetPilot i3
