I have just installed the POI Edit v 3.8.0 and now it will not update as I get an error message

SOCKET ERROR #11004

It all worked perfectly OK before the install on v3.7.2 (?)

I now can't get back to that version so that updates can be carried out.
Anyone got a suggestion what has happened and how to cure it?

Have tried a re-download of v3.8.0 software and re-install but same results.

Run both Cleaner and Issues and delete everything it finds. It's perfectly safe and won't harm anything.

If you haven't used it before, run the issues and when done, run it again to make sure everything is clean. (Sometimes when cleaning issues, other issues appear. It may take three goes for it to be perfectly clean)

Now re-boot and try re-installing either 3.7 or 3.8.


Thanks for the tip. Got the CCleaner and it worked a treat. I also had to delete the DNote Software folder from the system before re-installing v3.7 and it worked properly.
