How likely is this going to happen? Is it something that's in the pipeline?
I know you have the 5 digits but as you know that only gives the area.
Thanks

It's something that has been asked for for the last couple of years. I can't imagine that Navman will continue to omit it from their featureset. If they do, more potential buyers will pass them over. _________________ Tim |

I am sure it will come - however as we always tell our customers when comparing Navman to Tomtom and others, address entry is only <5% of what a SatNav is used for.
What is of more importance is the quality of the display, the data entry system, the infomation provided, the routing algorithm, the ability to change settings etc.
Also, 7 digit postcodes are not infalible - in many cases they cover more than one road, so you will still need to enter a road name as well as the postcode, sometimes they relate to a PO Box or postal address rather than reality, and the present Satnavs that do 7-digits often have missing postcode areas or mistakes in their addressing.
So, yes, its another feature that is worth comparing, but IMHO is someway down the list... _________________ _______________________

More appropriately more of their existing customers will leave them. I have now gone the Tomtom route myself, and wonder why I did not do it earlier. Their product is far better than the Navman equivalent, and Navman have only got themselves to blame for being too complacent.
Navman need to learn that no supplier or manufacturer is bigger or better than their customer base. |
