Navman 520 Software Crashes

I am having trouble with my Navman 520. Not only do I find that the mapping is quite bad around Norwich in Norfolk. I find that it has a tendency to crash, this normally happens when you are moving around the menu system, and happens far to often for my liking. I have spoken to other people with the same trouble, they have 510’s with the new software on, none of them have had any problems until they upgraded the software.

Is any one else having similar problems?

I use the device for work, as I work for the East Angling Ambulance Service.
I have also had a battery fail, by this I mean from full to dead overnight when the device was switched off, I don’t know if this is due to the fact that it is constantly plugged in to a cigarette lighter or that the device got a bit cold.

As for the cross roads scenario. I too have found that when you need to go straight over a cross road, that sometimes the device tells you to turn left or right, this seems to be down to bad map drawing. If you look closely at the junction it will be drawn with a stagger on it, and will contain route directions (it will have a green 3D route marker showing on your route) .
