What Road?

Has anyone managed to fathom out the logic behind the way tomtom 5 displays the road numbers?

Whilst travelling from Nottingham to Canterbury yesterday, sometimes the road I was heading for was at the top of the screen, and the road I was on was dsiplayed at the bottom of the screen.
At other times the road I was heading for, was both at the top and the bottom of the screen. Some other times the order was transposed, and then it would be the junction I was heading for that was displayed.

I'm using tomtom 5 on an iPaq with a navman sleeve, and everything else seems to be OK, it just occurred to me that if I broke down and had to call for help, I wouldn't know with any certainty which road I was on.

TomTom when navigating doesn't display the road you are currently on, rather the road you are going to take after the next turn. Which may just be continuing on the same road.

If you want to find out your current location select clear route and it should tell you.
