I have an iPAQ 2210 with TTN 5.1 and I use GPS Gate.
To make the itinerary function useful to me I use the GPS Gate in simulation mode with only one point set in the simulation file as the starting point of my route. This works fine when I know the coords of the starting point but is a problem when I don't. Is there any application I can use to find the coords of a POI? If I'm at my PC I can get the info in many ways generally I pop the POI (or point on map) in the itinerary then open the itn file in notepad or similar and use the coords from there but I can't do this on my PPC anyone any ideas?
Thanks |

Google Earth shows you coordinates under the cursor. Streets and Trips shows them under the cursor when Location Sensor is selected.
S & T waypoints can be imported into TT. Maybe they can imported into an .itn file. |

Thanks for the reply but my problem is when I'm not at my PC.
I would like to be able to find Coords when only using my PPC I can get the details into the itn files. The problem is that the itinerary won't plot a route without you having a GPS connection, well I can get TomTom to think it has a GPS fix by putting set coords into the simulation function within GPSGate and then using this as the source for the GPS output og GPSGate but unfortunately I cant get at the coords values to use easily when using only my PPC. I know they are in the itn file but I cant find a way of opening the itn file using only my PPC. |

Hi
The free program Pocket Notepad will let you do it - I've used it to look at itn files on my Pocket PC. If I remember correctly, I had to install the additional dll described on the web site in order to be able to open files anywhere in the Pocket PC folder structure. _________________ Barry Davies
