I am sure it has been addressed by someone here already but , I am trying to update to 5.01 on my ipaq 3970 which has tomtom 5 already installed. I have downloaded both types , exe and zip to my desktop and then run them both. The exe seems to open norton antivirus each time ! and the other one says "opening apk files" or something like that then just stops ...
Any ideas anyone
Thanks

Have you tried disabling all anti virus software when trying to install?? _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

you may want to disable Norton Antivirus for the duration of the install. The APK files are required.
If it fails again, see if at least the CAB files were extracted (same folder as the EXE ) - you could then just copy the CAB directly to the PDA and run them there. _________________ Lutz

I have a similar problem. Just bought ipaq 4700 with tom tom 5. Downloaded update but when it is run it is infact the version 5.00 window that appears with no icon for the upgrade, its just like running the original cd. |
