Can you supply more information as to exactly what you are trying to do - I get the general idea of an upgrade but is it from vs3, or vs5,0 upto the new vs5,1? - also which file have you downloaded as the upgrade? there is a zipped version - Mike |

If you insert CD one on the PC then select Start/ Run and type D:\setup.exe The TomTom installer should run.
Agree to License
Select Pocket PC
Add Maps
Great Britain
At this point you can select either the Great Britain Plus map (which includes UK and all major roads of Europe), or select Great Britain. Don't miss the option to select Postcodes at this point - or it will not install the codes. If you have a card reader use it, on the next screen select "Other Location Advanced" Then select the SD card as the destination (its much faster than via Active Sync)

Are you using CD One, as this should display the install maps screen, if not try any of the CD's - when you select the country it will prompt you to insert the relevant CD - also check the CD contents in windows explorer, if there is a set-up file double click it to launch the installer - Mike |

Not at the PC at the moment but this is a well known problem, have a look at tomtom.com - support FAQ and the solution is listed there, you need to find a file on the PC and delete it, or search on the forum as it is listed a nuber of times, if you are still struggling let me know and I post the link when I get home - mike |

If you go to www.tomtom.com, click Support, then PDA Navigation and you will find some of the most FAQ. Question 8 is the one you want

Sorry, I don't know how, but a comma appeared at the end of the URL above. It should, of course, be www.tomtom.com

Robin2 check the site as its updated and this topic is item 11, now I can display the page you need to select on the PC select - start, Run in the box type %temp% from the results locate the file setup.exe (it should have a red pair of hands as the icon) - delete this and then proceed as per normal install - Sorry I couldn't offer this before but the TT page would not display correctly over GPRS on the new toy, and I stupidly had forgotten the exact way to do this - Mike |
