Notwithstanding all the hooha about the proposed charges I downloaded the database for my new 2720.
Wow did it transfer fast ,it took about 5 seconds and then come up with 7541 POIs added.
Then I went into Southampton to do some chrimbo shopping knowing full well that my route has all sorts of cameras along it. Chuffed doesnt describe how good it works with the 2720 coming upto a camera it bing bongs at you ,but if your going faster than the camera speed then it bings continuously until your speed is below the camera rating and at the same time you get a visual on the screen of a bright red banner and a speed rating on the map .you also get warnings on mobiles and redlight cameras . In the 14 miles from home to southampton it warned me of 7 camera sites 6 of which I already knew and one that was a total surprise .
I am liking this new machine more and more and cant wait to connect it on my bike to the autocom and enjoy travelling safe .

I'm glad you're enjoying your 2720, as am I, but if you go to Gpspassion which is an American/ French site the Americans had the 2720 a year before us and they are less pleased with the unit.
They say the 2610 had more functionality and that the 2720 was "rushed" through. metroman |

I know one of the things they were complaining about was the inability to route on pc and transfer down ,but this has been changed as it comes with the full maps for the pc now and after using Tomtom for many years its like a breath of fresh air .That reminds me must take dvd player from work home as it is on dvd and mine only uses cds
Yes it does have its own problems but so does every other s/ware its wether the drawbacks affect you that counts. _________________ Asus Zenfone 2 twin sim, Garmin Zumo 550, 660 and pocketgps speed camera database
